Extended abstract Given the functioning of the market environment, the timely implementation of development programs is almost the main guarantee of success of any enterprise, because only the constant improvement of organizational and production environments will survive in strong competition or become an industry leader. For the same reasons, the topic of enterprise development, its ability to respond as quickly as possible and with minimal costs to market demand and changes in external and internal factors, has become incredibly popular among all entrepreneurs today. Although the theoretical and practical bases in Ukraine have not yet been formed, most managers and owners of the company are already changing their approach to management, changing their holistic orientation from survival to continuous development of the enterprise, with clear goals, forecasting economic results in the future and outlining development directions. . Such domestic and foreign scientists as O. Rudnytska [1], N. Yaroshevych [2], O. Kots [3], M. Bondarchuk [4] and O. Kurylo [5], V.S. Rapoport [6], A.N. Averyanov [7], who mainly consider development as quantitative and qualitative, structural changes in the activities of the subject of economic activity. However, the constant changes in the business environment force us to add to this new and new criteria for the success of private enterprise development, in particular competitiveness and potential. The object of study of this master’s thesis is the financial results of a private enterprise. The subject of the research is theoretical-methodological and practical aspects of management of formation and use of profit of PE "Skify". The purpose of the master’s thesis is to theoretically substantiate the essence of the concept of enterprise development, analysis of its financial situation over the past 8 three years and the formation of a recommendation that will address current issues in the management mechanism of PE "Skify". During the study of theoretical definitions of enterprise development, the works of domestic and foreign specialists in the field of economics were analyzed, each of them was evaluated, and a definition based on research and current trends in business was formed. Based on the results of acquaintance with the annual reporting documentation, namely the balance sheet and the report on financial results for 2017-2019, PE "Scythians" was an analysis of its financial performance using horizontal, vertical, coefficient methods. Thanks to the economic and mathematical model of Miller-Orr, the optimal level of the balance of accounts of a private enterprise was calculated, the upper and lower limits were determined, and recommendations for the management of financial assets were provided. Given the topic of the study, the emphasis was on investing free funds of the enterprise in its development. In the course of searching for additional options to increase the company’s profit, an analysis of the stock market of Ukraine, the companies represented on it and their quotations. Thanks to J. Tobin’s model and Excel software, two portfolios of securities were formed, one with minimal risk and the other with maximum return. Thus, thanks to the analysis and calculations, proposals were formulated to accelerate the development of PE "Skify", as well as forecast its main economic indicators for 2020.
