Annotation The paper selects and substantiates how the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant affected the ecological situation of the city of Slavutych. Actuality of theme. The anthropogenic accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant has turned into a real global environmental catastrophe, large areas are polluted, and recovery is today one of the most important problems in the world on an individual basis. The purpose of the study is to consider in detail all aspects of the Chernobyl accident and its consequences, identify legal issues of regulatory regulation of the accident and further regulation of radiation safety, conducted a survey of the population. The task of the master’s qualification work is: - detailed analysis of the nature and degree of radioactive contamination of the environment that occurred as a result of the Chernobyl accident; - study of the reverse effect of contamination, taking into account the natural, individual biological, channels of radionuclides in the food chain; - development of guidelines for the population of coastal areas that are under the potential influence of the above identified sources of pollution.
