Extended abstract The explanatory note of the thesis is set out on 64 pages, consists of 4 chapters, 21 illustrations and 21 sources in the list of references. The object of research is the center of child development. Research subject: Principles of designing a child development center. The main goal of the work is to determine the design features of the interiors of child development centers. The first chapter examines the history of the development and formation of kindergartens and centers, as well as the fact that educational societies influenced the development of preschool institutions in Ukraine. The analysis of world and domestic analogues and theoretical foundations was carried out, the state of the problem in Ukraine was outlined. Modern Ukrainian kindergartens and centers exist in small numbers. It was found that for the formation of a modern children’s center, it is necessary to pay attention not only to everyday and communication processes, but also to the priority areas of educational work of a preschool organization. In the second section, the terms and sources on the research topic were clarified, the main types of physical and intellectual activity of children were studied and described. A proposal was made on the formation of a children’s environment on the basis of the studied world and domestic analogues. The general requirements for the design of the interior of preschool educational institutions were indicated. The second section describes art therapy as the introduction of educational institutions for the therapy and development of children with the help of visual activities and as a feature in the formation of the preschool environment. Also indicated are the features of the volumetric-spatial form, technological and compositional-aesthetic aspects of the organization of the system "child - the center of development"; determined the main principles of interior design. Recommendations for the design of a children’s space based on preliminary research have been formulated: - comply with safety requirements; - take into account the psychological characteristics of the development of preschool children; - to develop the most comfortable, safe and inspiring place for learning, observing ergonomic norms, compositional and aesthetic techniques based on the methodology of educating preschoolers in an institution. In the third chapter, on the basis of the research carried out, the study of the theory and analysis of foreign and domestic analogs, a design project of the children’s center is proposed. The structural model of the center was formed, the concept of the institution was thought out. The third section describes the technical side of the project. Based on the results of the work, conclusions and proposals were made for the development of a project for a children’s center that meets the above requirements.
