Abstract: Studyobject- is the cruising speed and the relative resource of the bit. Scope of research - models of chisel operation. Goal of research - to develop a methodology for selecting the optimal parameters of the drilling regime, capable of modeling the working of the bit in the rocks with sufficient accuracy and efficiency, with a minimum of initial information. The first section discusses general information about drilling wells, namely the role of drilling in exploration and methods of drilling wells. The importance of drilling for geology and the national economy is immeasurable. The well is the main and most important channel for obtaining geological information. As for drilling methods, so far only mechanical methods are used in the practice of drilling exploration wells. The most efficient method of drilling is rotary, which has been described in more detail. In the second section rock-destroying tools are considered. This paper describes the classification of drill bits by design. The third section discusses drilling performance, the main of which is the drilling speed. To assess the individual types of work associated with the wellbore, there are several types of speed - mechanical, in-flight, technical, commercial and cyclic. The fourth section examines drilling models. The master’s thesis was based on previous research and publications in which the authors were asked to describe the process of deepening the bit in homogeneous rocks with constant values of the axial load on the bit, the differential equation. The study of optimal drilling parameters was performed using exponential, hyperbolic and root drilling models. Key words - cruising speed, bit, well, drilling rig, drilling model. Referenses: 1.
