Abstract: Over the last three years, the level of motorization in Ukraine has been growing at a gradual pace. As of 2019, the level of motorization reached 218 cars per 1,000 inhabitants. In 2021, this figure rose to 245 cars per 1,000 inhabitants. Also more than 2 million people have registered as internally displaced. This means that the population will also change in cities of Ukraine. Where it will grow, the number of vehicles will grow. It is also worth noting the sharp increase in imports of cars from abroad, due to the temporary abolition of customs duties. During the period 04/09/22 ¬ 05/19/22 94 420 cars were imported to Ukraine. These factors point to the growth of motorization in western Ukraine. Therefore, it is important to optimize traffic in these cities. [1-3] . As for the applications that can be used to simulate, their applications can be classified in several ways. [4] Some basic classifications are divided into microscopic and macroscopic, as well as stochastic and deterministic approaches. Under the microscopic approach, the driven vehicle affects the movement of other vehicles. In macroscopic ¬transport flow is considered as the movement of gaseous or liquid matter. The deterministic approach to modeling exists and takes into account the relationships between traffic indicators. The stochastic method takes traffic indicators by the probabilistic method. One such software is PTV Vissim . The peculiarity of this program is that it performs microsimulation. This means that each simulation object, whether pedestrian, bicycle or mechanized transport, with its characteristics is presented separately in the simulated traffic system. Despite the fact that PTV Vissim was first developed in 1992, this software package has become more popular since the beginning of the last decade. and is not losing popularity. [5] Studies have shown that traffic delays increase even with a small proportion of cars if there are no separate lanes for turning left and right. [6] The analysis of conditions at the regulated intersection of Lyubinska-Yavornytskyi-Petliura streets is carried out in the work. The presence and location of exits from adjacent areas, such as courtyards and gas stations, on the approaches to the intersection under investigation has been established. The intensities of pedestrian zones near the intersection during peak and inter -peak periods have been studied. The intensity and composition of traffic flows at the intersection, as well as the speed at the approaches to the intersection were measured. The analysis of traffic light signaling for lanes and pedestrian crossings at a regulated intersection is carried out. A model of an adjustable intersection has also been created PTV Vissim software , installed sensors for measuring the length of traffic jams and travel time of the intersection and analyzed the change of queues depending on the change in traffic intensity. After studying the impact of permitted maneuvers on the main road of the intersection on the delays of traffic flows, the operation of the intersection was optimized. The object of research is the regulated intersection of Lyubinska-Yavornytskyi-Petliura streets in Lviv. The subject of research is the study of changes in delays on approaches to the intersection with changes in permitted directions. The purpose of the study: reducing the length of queues on the approaches to the regulated intersection. As a result of research and changes in the permitted maneuvers on the main road of ¬ Lubinska Street, the average and maximum length of traffic jams on the approaches to the regulated intersection has been reduced. The number of traffic jams has also been reduced and the lane on the approach to the intersection has been eliminated. Key words - intersection, length of queues, traffic flow, congestion on the approach to the intersection, change of permitted directions. References 1.
