Abstract: In this Master degree thesis, the research of hydrodynamics of a stationary layer of granular chalk is shown. The methods used for drying dispersed materials, their advantages and disadvantages are analysed. Methods for describing the hydrodynamics of filtration drying have been studied. Research methods are given. In the experimental part of the work the granulometric composition of the polydisperse mixture of granular chalk is studied, the main characteristics of the layer are determined, the obtained experimental data of pressure losses are given. As a result, the dependence describing the hydrodynamics of the stationary layer of granular chalk was found. The value of the calculation data error was found. The flow motion through the layer of dispersed material in the Ansys software package was simulated, the graphical simulation results were obtained and the pressure losses on the material resistance were determined. The convergence of modeling results with experimental data is investigated.
