Abstract: Kachailo IM, Peretyatko BM (head). Improving the fire condition of the lumber machining shop of PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. Master’s qualification work. - National University "Lviv Polytechnic", Lviv, 2021. Extended abstract. At the present stage of technical development of Ukrainian society it is extremely important to comply with the rules of fire and man-made safety, as the negative processes in the economy of Ukraine cause an increase in the number of fires and emergencies. Particularly dangerous are industries with a large number of flammable and explosive substances and materials, in which the occurrence of even minor fires and explosions under adverse circumstances can lead to catastrophic proportions. During 2021, 196 emergencies were registered in Ukraine, which according to the National Classifier "Classifier of Emergencies" SC 019: 2010 were divided into: • man-made nature - 50; • natural in nature - 107; • social nature - 9. As a result of these emergencies, 172 people died (including 29 children) and 892 people were injured (including 417 children). The scale of emergencies that arose in 2021 was divided into: • state level - 2; • regional level - 8; • local level - 69; • object level - 87. Compared to 2020, the total number of emergencies in 2021 increased by 11.4%, while the number of man-made emergencies decreased by 10.7%, and the number of natural and social emergencies increased by 20.2% and 125%, respectively. Also, in 2021 there is a decrease in the number of deaths and injuries in emergencies - by 6% and 50.6%, respectively. The first section analyzes the operational and tactical characteristics of the object. In the second section the analysis of technogenic (fire) danger of PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. The third section describes the forecast of a possible situation in case of fire PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. The fourth section deals with engineering and technical solutions offered at the enterprise and their scientific substantiation. In the fifth section the plan of fire extinguishing on PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. The sixth section describes labor protection during hostilities during firefighting PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. The seventh chapter calculates the economics of fire safety. The eighth section describes the ecology of the environment. Object of research: shop of mechanical processing of lumber of PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. Subject of research: volume-planning and engineering solutions of the lumber machining shop of PE "TYPHON-PLUS", as well as combustible lumber located at the enterprise. The purpose of the study: - forecasting the possible situation in the event of an emergency in the shop of mechanical processing of lumber PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. In this master’s qualification work was analyzed the level of fire hazard of the shop of mechanical processing of lumber PE "TYPHON-PLUS", p. Ozhidiv, Lviv region. The fire danger here is created by the equipment where wood dust and shavings are formed. Fires can occur here in unfavorable circumstances in the warehouses of raw materials and finished products. In the first section the general data on the enterprise, the characteristic of the equipment of shop of mechanical processing of lumber are considered, the description of technological process of wood processing is resulted. In the second section the fire danger of the lumber machining shop was considered, the main properties of wood are given, the causes and conditions of emergencies are highlighted. In the third section the calculation of forces and means for fire extinguishing in the shop of mechanical processing of lumber is carried out. The fourth section deals with the proposed engineering and technical solutions and their scientific justification. Issues of labor protection and safety in emergency situations are also considered. The annual economic effect from the use of APS at the facility will be UAH 63,019.3. Key words: fire, fire extinguishing, fire safety, fire extinguishing manager, reconnaissance, fire localization, fire extinguishing. References. 1.
