Abstract: Today, the school must prepare not only a carrier of knowledge, but also a creative person who is able to use the acquired knowledge for competitive activities in any sphere of public life, i.e. to form a competent person. Therefore, today there is a question of the organization of the educational process from the point of view of the competence approach, and hence the problem of the competence approach to the management of the learning process is extremely relevant [3]. An integral part of the general concept of competence is the concept of information competence of pupils, which involves mastering a variety of information technologies, skills to obtain, critically comprehend and creatively use the information. Its emergence is associated with the development of the information society, new information technologies, the need for continuous self-improvement of man in the XXI century. [2]. And for the implementation of the process of formation of information competence there is a need to use organizational and methodological justified methods and ways of teaching. The object of research is the formation of information competence of pupils of institutions of general secondary education. Field of research. The Master’s thesis is devoted to the study of the formation of information competence of pupils of institutions of general secondary education in the process of blended learning. The subject of the research is the peculiarities of the formation of information competence of pupils of institutions of general secondary education in the process of blended learning. The aim of the study is to substantiate and experimentally investigate the effectiveness of the e-learning course "Mathematical Fundamentals of Information Technologies" as a means of forming information competence of pupils of general secondary education in its study on the technology of blended learning. The research results. The organizational and methodological method of forming the information competence of pupils of IGSE with the help of implementation and study of e-learning course in LMS Moodle as a learning tool is substantiated, offered and experimentally tested in the paper. The results of approbation of the course study are presented.
