Abstract: Tokareva Maria "Safety of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste disposal technology". The master’s thesis in the specialty 263 "Civil Security" consists of an introduction, five chapters, conclusions, a list of sources used, which contains 95 titles. The total volume of qualifying work is 101 pages, including 4 tables, 23 figures, a list of used sources on 5 pages. The target of the work is to develop the basics of the technology for obtaining of unsaturated polyester resin using polyethylene terephthalate waste (PET bottles) as the main raw material. Scope of research work: synthesis of unsaturated polyester resin based on secondary PET. Subject of research: waste and methods of PET utilization. Research methods: data processing, layout, analysis, comparison, synthesis and systematization, generalization of scientific theoretical and research data; systematic approach, methods of observation and comparison. The analysis of normative-legal acts on labor protection at utilization of PET waste is executed. Methods of PET utilization are analyzed in detail. The basics of the technology of obtaining unsaturated polyester resins using waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET bottles) as a basic raw material have been developed. A list of necessary measures has been compiled to help reduce the impact of harmful emissions from PET disposal on the environment and public health. POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE, PROCESSING, HYDROLYSIS OF PET, WASTE MANAGEMENT, UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESINS.
