Abstract: Elevator - a technical structure with a special cabin for the vertical movement of people or goods in special cabins (cells) moving in rigid guides. Study object - a passenger elevator Scope of research - the drive of a passenger elevator Goal of research: to develop the design and calculation of the elements of the passenger elevator drive Research results. The first section analyzes and provides an overview of existing types and designs of winches. According to the initial data, the basic functional scheme of the drive of the electro reversible winch for the passenger elevator offered. Which includes a 3-phase asynchronous motor connected by a combined coupling with a worm single-stage gearbox, which connected to the rope pulley. The design part shows a general view of the winch drive, and assembly drawings of the developed mechanisms and components, namely: Complete design and verification calculations of the worm single-stage gearbox and all its components and parts have performed. The calculation of the low-speed gearbox shaft for fatigue strength, as well as the selection and calculation of bearings of this shaft for dynamic load capacity. The calculation of the strength of key joints in the gearbox performed. The calculation and design of the combined gear-friction clutch performed. The choice of ropes and the choice of the basic geometrical parameters of a rope-driving pulley executed. In the scientific part, the calculation of loads acting on the subclavian frame, modeling and simulation of loads on it. At the first stage the investigated model of a basic beam with all its elements of which it consists was developed. The loads that will act on this beam are calculated and determined. Having determined the parameters of the analytically calculated and designed support beam, the obtained data showed that it is able to withstand the specified loads, and be active and operational. The main purpose of the research was to determine the most responsible elements of the drive, to investigate their behavior at given loads, to substantiate the data and based on substantiated data, to conclude that to change certain parameters of different elements to obtain the best and most effective design. In the economic part, the practical expediency of design and industrial implementation of the developed winch substantiated. Keywords - elevator drive, rope pulley, reducer, clutch.
