Abstract: Shteniovych O.Ya. Organizational support of spatial and economic development management of Lviv region- Manuscript. Work for a master’s degree in "Public Administration". - Lviv Polytechnic National University. - Lviv, 2021. The current model of governance of the national economy needs to be reformed, as it is unable to fully ensure the sustainable development of territories by overcoming disparities, ensuring the comfort of living space, implementing the practice of inclusive governance and direct democracy. First of all, this is due to the insufficient level of consideration of spatial aspects in the organization and management of centers of economic activity. According to World Bank estimates, Ukraine loses 2-3% of GDP annually due to inefficient spatial capital management. Given the new geoeconomic realities, it is of paramount importance to determine the parameters of the new spatial and economic policy on the principles of territorial self-development and take into account the interests of local stakeholders in coordinating the center with the authorities at subnational and local levels. Under such conditions, the configuration of the institutional structure of spatial and economic development changes and there is a need to find new management tools: instead of spontaneous self-organization of spatial and economic development, it is necessary to offer an effective mechanism for managing it. This causes the high relevance of research aimed at substantiating the theoretical and methodological principles and providing practical recommendations for organizational support of spatial capital management. Significant attention to the study of issues related to the essence of the phenomena of spatial and economic development was paid by the Nobel Prize winners in economics (A. Deaton, M. Kremer, P. Krugman, R. Taylor), the founders of scientific concepts of spatial organization of economics (W. Aizard, M. Baransky, J.-R. Budville, I. Vytver, M. Kolosovsky, M. Kondratiev, V. Crystaller, F. Perrault, M. Porter, Y. Saushkin, T. Hegerstrand), whose works are still a reliable basis in solving theoretical problems and practical tasks in the field of spatial and economic development management; representatives of modern foreign scientific schools (E. Ankinson, R. Kamagni, M. Castells, A. Pique, M. Potter, A. Tale, R. Florida, W. Foodson, D. Zipf) and domestic scientific thought (L. Deineko , E. Libanova, T. Ostashko, V. Rodchenko, M. Skripnichenko, S. Shkarlet); practitioners (Yu. Hanushchak, A. Tkachuk, Yu. Tretyak). Theoretical and methodological principles of modern spatial transformations of the economy and ways to improve regional policy have become the subject of meaningful research by such researchers as V. Dergachev, N. Mikula, V. Pylypiv, Y. Stadnytsky, D. Stechenko, I. Storonyanska, M. Fashchevsky, L. Chernyuk, V. Chuzhikov, L. Shevchuk. Thorough scientific works on state regulation, institutionalization and action of key mechanisms of economic growth, which is an integral component of spatial and economic development management, belong to such authoritative domestic researchers as O. Amosha, V. Geets, A. Hrytsenko, I. Egorov, M. Zveryakov, S. Shumskaya. These works contain a number of valuable and important opinions, both general and partial, but their presence does not preclude further study of the problem, as not all issues are sufficiently covered and not all statements can be fully agreed. In favor of the relevance of the study is the attention of the authorities to the issue of spatial and economic development management. Thus, one of the key goals of the State Strategy for Regional Development until 2027 "Development and unity focused on people" is the formation of a cohesive country in social, economic, environmental and spatial dimensions. This issue is also a priority in the development strategies of the regions of Ukraine. In addition, Ukraine is currently undergoing a phase of institutional transformation, which is aimed at ensuring high economic activity of all territorial entities through the decentralization of power and deconcentration of responsibilities. The purpose of the master’s thesis is to substantiate the theoretical provisions and develop approaches and recommendations for improving the organizational support of management of spatial and economic development of Ukraine. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set and solved: the conceptual prerequisites for the formation of spatial capital were generalized; the methodical approach to management of spatial and economic development is substantiated; the methodological apparatus for assessing the dominant components of spatial and economic development has been improved; the peculiarities of the processes of organization of innovation-oriented development policy at the local level are determined; developed tools for determining the strategic landmarks of economic development of Lviv region; the approach to diagnostics of spatial features of processes of planning and designing of territorial development is offered. The object of research is the Department of Economic Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration. The subject of the study is the organizational prerequisites and factors of management of spatial and economic development at the local and subnational levels. Key words: management of spatial and economic development, spatial capital, network forms of organization.
