Extended annotation. The paper summarizes and analyzes the theoretical and methodological principles of strategic personnel management in the civil service. The essence and methods of strategic personnel management are highlighted. An example of the system of strategic personnel management and its tasks are given. Features of personnel management in the civil service are highlighted: foreign experience. Also, the paper analyzes the activities and personnel management of the Department of Economic Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration. Characteristics of the Department of Economic Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration. The analysis and evaluation of the activity of the Department of Economic Policy of LODA was carried out. Also, the assessment of personnel management of the Department of Economic Policy of LODA is given. The third section presents the improvement of the personnel management system of the Economic Policy Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
