Abstract: Jewelry art in Ukraine is considered one of the oldest artistic crafts. Jewelry or goldsmithing is a type of human activity that belongs to the artistic and decorative craft, and consists in the manufacture of artificial ornaments of the human body [1]. Back in the time of the Slavs, our ancestors used several techniques to create jewelry, namely casting - the most common method of processing non-ferrous metals - and embossing. Later, they mastered scanning and grain techniques [2]. Until the middle of the 18th century, the name goldsmithing was used, although in addition to gold, silver, copper, bronze and other non-ferrous metals were used. Nowadays, goldsmithing is a jewelry business in which the jeweler makes jewelry from various materials, including bone, wood, glass, and even plastic [1]. Jewelry began to be made of inexpensive materials, which led to an increase in market demand. More people began to be interested in jewelry to wear at home, at work, meetings, etc. In turn, master jewelers had to have a fine understanding of the physical properties of the material in order to achieve the best appearance of the product, regardless of the type of material [3]. With the increase in demand, there was a problem in the number of specialists who could provide the supply. Currently, there is only one educational institution in Ukraine that provides full professional jewelry education, namely: "Interregional Center of Jewelry Art of Kyiv" [4]. Other institutions may study the directions and basics of jewelry for several semesters in an art specialization. In addition to state institutions, there is the "Academy of Jewelry Art" - the only non-state institution in the south of Ukraine that has the second level of accreditation. This institution provides paid training of jewelers in the directions "Jeweler-modeler" and "Jeweler-fixer". One of the advantages of the academy is the membership of the All-Ukrainian organization "Association of Jewelers of Ukraine", where it takes an active part [5]. Market players began to leave the business or look for a new market. In general, we can say that the jewelry business is divided conditionally into two categories: 1) business with a low or average price policy. Such businesses mass-produce products that are usually made from cheap materials or a mixture of metals, where precious metals (gold, silver, iridium, etc.) contain the smallest share of the product. 2) business with a higher price policy. The main goal of such businesses is not to sell as many identical products as possible, but to produce unique, aesthetic jewelry that will satisfy the buyer and also allow the artist to express his ideas and creative potential. In this work, it is the second type of business that is considered, since more and more people want to have a unique piece of jewelry, and artisans, having freedom of choice in the material, explore various methods of creating jewelry in order to reduce the cost of making it and optimize its production time. Study object is the creation of an information system project for a jewelry workshop. Scope of research is the methods and means of developing a project of an information system for the manufacture and ordering of jewelry. Goal of research is to create an information system project that will offer the user a set of functions for choosing their own jewelry design, tracking the process of creating a product, as well as providing primary information about various materials, means of creation, etc. The result of the project is a ready-made functional system for making and ordering jewelry, which is designed for three user accesses: administrator, client, and master. The administrator is the manager of the workshop, who monitors the operation of the system, its filling, and also generally controls orders and conducts an inventory of materials. A client is a potential user of the system who can order existing jewelry or create an individual order. A craftsman is an employee of a workshop who works with individual orders and also follows his own work schedule. For fast and convenient system development, the basic content management system (CMS) for online stores with open source PrestaShop will be used. This system offers a set of ready-made solutions for presenting the administrative part (statistics, editing information), the client part (displaying the catalog, making payment, additional information), as well as the part of employees (displaying the work schedule, logistics, communication). The results of the project implementation are presented during the implementation of the project, that is, during the commissioning of the system. In general, the results should show the fulfilled requirements, the quality of the system and its proper functioning.
