Abstract: Anna Gordienko "Research and modeling of thermal processes in composite materials." Master’s qualification thesis. Educational program "System design". Lviv Polytechnic National University, Department: Automated Design Systems, Lviv, 2022. In this master’s qualification work, an analysis of thermophysical processes that occur in composite materials in the presence of heat sources is carried out. Namely, modeling and research of the features of heat distribution depending on the structure of the composite was carried out. The design and implementation of the information subsystem for modeling thermal processes was carried out. The scientific novelty consists in laying the foundations for future research on methods of building information subsystems that will allow automating the modeling of composite materials, their thermal characteristics, and structured storage in one system of data on materials, their thermal, physical and chemical, thermal, etc. characteristics, input and output data of modeling of composites, etc. The practical significance lies in the possibility of structuring information about the conducted studies and their results, as well as the possibility of exchanging information about the available materials, their sizes, boundary conditions of the project and designed composite materials, etc. The results obtained during modeling can be used later as input information for systems for modeling thermal processes in microelectronic, electromechanical, and microprocessor systems. In such systems, composite materials are used as insulators or as materials for radiators for better heat dissipation. The object of the study is the transfer of information about project conditions, data transformation to obtain modeling results based on information about the assigned design task. The subject of the research is the use of automated data processing methods necessary for the design of composites. The relevance of this work is caused by the need for effective storage of a large amount of data during research. Such data can be: selected boundary conditions, generated meshes of finite elements, descriptions of the geometric dimensions of the object under investigation, obtained results, etc.
