Abstract: The Master’s Thesis presents the development of a spray for local use with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Material calculations for the preparation of 50 vials (2 L) of the finished medicinal product in laboratory conditions are carried out and the basic technological scheme of its preparation are presented. Economic calculation of the total cost of development and research in laboratory conditions are carried out. The goal of this work is to develop a spray for local use that has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. The prospect of developing these drugs is that the life of an ordinary modern person cannot be imagined without accompanying musculoskeletal pains when person performs any work. According to the latest studies by the World Health Organization, one in five people globally live with musculoskeletal conditions and the total number people, which suffering from pain syndromes, reaches 2.5 billion, which is almost a third of the entire population of the planet. [1] Among the drugs used to treat pain syndrome, the most common represented in dosage forms like a tablet for oral use, solutions for injections and different soft dosage forms. Regarding drugs for local use, the vast majority of these drugs represented by ointments or gels, plasters, etc. Regarding dosage form as a spray, it is represented by only 2% of the entire number of trade names [2]. Therefore, the development of spray for local use is a promising direction of the pharmaceutical industry, because this dosage form is comfortable for use by the patient and more profitable from an economic point of view, in contrast to the development of drugs in other dosage forms. Study object: Active pharmaceutical ingredients with a pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect and auxiliary substances that enhance their therapeutic effect Scope of a research: A combination of active pharmaceutical ingredients and auxiliary substances to form a spray for local use Goal of a research: Development of a medicinal product in the form of a spray with a pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect Research results: An analysis of the assortment of the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine in 2022 for drugs that affect the musculoskeletal system is carried out [3-5]. Medicines are studied according to the composition of active substances, dosage forms and their diversity, the number of manufacturers of substances for the production of drugs, which affect the musculoskeletal system, is determined. The conducted analysis showed that the spray, as a dosage form, represented by only 2% of trade names among the entire assortment of medicines, that confirms the perspective of developing a medicine with this dosage form [2]. A medicine for local use with a pronounced analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect is developed, its components are selected and the quantitative content of active pharmaceutical ingredients and the required dosage form are proposed. A comparative analysis of the spray with analogues existing on the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine is conducted. The conducted material calculations made it possible to estimate the amounts of active pharmaceutical ingredients and auxiliary substances for the preparation 2 L of spray in laboratory conditions and packaging it in 40 ml bottles. Based on material calculations, a basic technological scheme of the production of the medicinal product is proposed. Economic calculations have been carried out, which demonstrate a high level of economic profitability of the development that medicinal product and the prospect of introducing this development into pharmaceutical production with subsequent access to the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine.
