Abstract: TheMaster’s qualificationworkisdevotedtotheactualdevelopmentofthe paraffin production unit from the distillate oil fraction. Paraffin is one of the products of the oil refining industry. It`s used mostly in the food industry, medicine and cosmetics due to its chemical neutrality, and is also used in the electrical engineering industry as an insulating material. A large demand for paraffin is used in the production of candles, as well as in the leather, paper, match and textile industries. As a thickener, it`s used in the production of plastic lubricants, synthetic fatty acids and alcohols are produced from paraffin by oxidation of air with oxygen. According to today`s forecasts, the production of paraffin in the world will increase to almost 1,5%. Every year, the demand for production will grow, and as a result, in 2027 the volume of petroleum paraffin production in the world will exceed 4 million tons. The main leaders of this market are, of course, Russia, as well as European countries China and the USA. Ukraine would have been able to become a major competition if oil products and these would have been no war from Russia, the aggressor country. Paraffin will be obtained in the following main ways: ? emulsion cleaning of hooks; ? filter pressing of paraffin distillates; ? purification and separation from paraffin oils from paraffin distillates of highly paraffinic oils in a mixture of ketone, benzene and toluene; ? cleaning of the hooks from oils; ? combining deparaffinization of olive raffinates, etc. Statistics have shown that the most effective and widespread are installations whose technological scheme involves the use of soluens. Therefore, a two-stage technological scheme for the deoilling of the distillate oil fraction with a mixture of solvents - toluene and acetone was used for the design. The purpose of this master`s thesis is to calculation of the technical paraffin production. As a result of the analysis of the following technologies were analyzed: ? basictechnologicalscheme; ? developmentofthegeneralplan, choiceoftheequipment; ? calculationofthereactoranditsdimensions; ? implementationoflaborprotectionmeasuresatthisinstallation; ? calculationofeconomicefficiencyoftheinstallation.
