Abstract: The relevance of the topic is largely determined by the lack of individually and separately designed buildings for museum activities. The majority of museums in Ukraine are located in the buildings of old foundations, the layout and premises of which do not fit the modern requirements and standards of museum design. This research has shown that this approach to creating museums is not expedient. This work presents constructive solutions of modern volumetric spaces, architectural, planning and compositional aesthetics and suggests using them as a basis for designing new complexes in combination with an in-depth analysis of the urban planning situation. Real solutions increase the potential of these buildings and make them multifunctional, comfortable, inclusive, ecological, aesthetic and qualitatively designed. Each museum provides visitors with knowledge about the history of the Ukrainian military and satisfies a certain level of leisure time, fosters a patriotic spirit. The purpose of the research is modern approaches to the design of museums, the use of technological innovations in their work. The purpose of this work is to determine the actual model of architecture. We offer urban planning solutions for museums of the Ukrainian army and offer specific solutions for one of the regions of Ukraine. Research conclusions: the causes and consequences are analyzed, the problems of museum design, the regularities of architectural and urban planning solutions and their problems are determined. 8 A theoretical analysis of the problem and an objective analysis of world practice were conducted. The main factors influencing the design of museums have been identified. The actual purpose of these buildings and their architectural features.
