Abstract: The thesis titled "Determining the Attractiveness of Trips to Transport Areas and Points of Mass Attraction in the City of Lviv" is dedicated to analyzing and evaluating the factors that influence the choice of transportation modes and routes by residents and visitors of the city. The research covers various aspects of the urban transport system, including the quality and frequency of public transport, route convenience, accessibility for different population groups, and the integration of different types of transport.[1] The aim of this research is to identify patterns in passengers’ route choices in major cities. To achieve this aim, the following objectives have been defined: – Analyze existing theoretical and practical approaches to the distribution of passenger flows in the urban public transport system; – Determine the directions and methods for researching the patterns of route choices by passengers; – Develop a model for the distribution of passenger trips across alternative route options; – Study the patterns of passengers’ route choices[2]. The following methods were used in the research: system analysis to identify the factors influencing passengers’ route choices and to establish the relationships between these factors; experimental studies to determine the parameters of passengers’ movements on alternative routes; mathematical statistics to process the results of passenger surveys regarding route choices; mathematical modeling to develop a model for the distribution of passenger flows across alternative routes.[3] The main objective of the work is to identify the key factors that determine the attractiveness of trips to different areas of the city and to major points of mass attraction, such as commercial centers, cultural sites, and other public places. Using survey methods, mathematical modeling, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the author examines existing transport flows and identifies opportunities for improving transport infrastructure.[4] The thesis has practical significance for urban planners, transportation companies, and other stakeholders involved in the development of urban infrastructure and improving the comfort of urban travel in Lviv. Research object: attractiveness of trips to transport zones in the city of Lviv Research subject: urban public transport, points of attraction are concentrated in transport areas. Research aim: determining the demand for certain types of transport to travel to attraction points. In the course of writing the paper, the attractiveness of the main points of attraction in the transport areas of Lviv, movement by public and other modes of transport was investigated.
