Abstract: In dense urban environments, limited area to provide the required intersection capacity is a factor. There are many methods for solving these problems, but choosing the optimal solution in each specific case is a difficult task. The transportation system is random in nature, so there are no universal patterns or hard and fast rules. The introduction of traffic light regulation changes the movement of traffic, forcing it to move in groups, which allows you to describe the movement according to certain laws [1-2]. But traffic light regulation, in most cases, leads to increased delays at intersections. In such a situation, a progressive solution can be coordinated regulation on the main trunk directions of the street and road network [3]. The theory of traffic organization is quite well researched and implemented in many cities of the world, especially in relation to coordinated regulation. However, in practice, it was found that in each individual case there are unique features that must be taken into account when developing a coordinated regulatory system [4-5]. Study object – regulated intersections on Lypynskoho Street (from Mykolaychuka Street to Zamarstynivska Street) on traffic flow indicators). Scope ofresearch – study of the effectiveness of the operation of the dedicated public transport lane on the section on Lypynskoho Street. Goal of research – improving the quality of public transport services through the development and practical use of the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the creation of dedicated lanes for urban public passenger transport. Objectives of the study: 1. Conduct a factor analysis and determine the most significant factors affecting traffic flow parameters when creating dedicated lanes for public transport; 2. Establish the dependence of the speed and delay time of individual and public transport on the duration of the traffic light regulation cycle; 3. Develop a methodology for determining the optimal parameters of a dedicated lane at different intensities of individual and public transport traffic Based on the current flows, a virtual model has been developed that allows you to predict future changes, plan and analyze dedicated lanes for public transport, compare traffic delays and travel time along the main routes, improve the quality of travel for passengers and drivers, and increase the productivity of the road network. At each traffic light, taking into account the results of scientific research, the mode of operation has been improved. To determine the effectiveness of traffic light regulation, we compared the simulated traffic in the "before" state (with a dedicated lane for public transport) and "after". The number of vehicles that stopped at the traffic light prohibition signal during the design regulation decreased compared to the existing regime. This is due to the fact that during the design adjustment, cars approaching the adjacent intersection do not wait for the green light to turn on (eastbound traffic). The total number of cars stopped under coordinated regulation decreased by 11% compared to the existing traffic regime. Constant monitoring of traffic speed on the main roads, where systems of coordinated traffic light regulation have been implemented, allows to reduce traffic jams, increase road safety, which leads to an improvement in the efficiency of the transport system. Keywords - regulated intersections, cycle duration, queue lengths, coordinated regulation, speed of movement. References. 1. Orhanizatsiia ta rehuliuvannia dorozhnoho rukhu: pidruchnyk / Za zah. red.
