Abstract: AutoCAD is a general-purpose automated design system used for creating two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) models. It serves as a primary tool for drawing and design in various fields, including construction, architecture, mechanical systems, geodesy, land surveying, and cadastre. The software suite is widely used worldwide due to its wide range of capabilities and rich functionality. The primary advantages of AutoCAD software include: • Flexibility and extensive design capabilities • Accuracy and precision • Scalability • Automation and productivity • Data interaction and exchange • Integration with other applications In Ukraine, this suite is quite popular in cadastre and land surveying fields, although there are more prevalent software products like Digitals. However, Autodesk also develops other add-ons, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, which incorporates certain functions differing from AutoCAD and are more relevant for professionals in geodesy, cadastre, and land surveying fields. Research Object: The AutoCAD software suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Research Subject: Functional capabilities of the AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software suites in the fields of land surveying and cadastre. Research Objective: Investigation of the use of the AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software suites in the field of cadastre and land surveying. Research Findings: The study focused on the use of the AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software suites in cadastre and land surveying, representing a comprehensive overview and analysis of the software’s capabilities for optimizing land data processing and creating digital models of land plots (Perovich, 2016). The paper examines a wide range of possibilities offered by AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D aimed at facilitating and improving various aspects of cadastral works and land management procedures. The technical capabilities of this software suite for conducting geospatial analyses, constructing cartographic materials, performing geodetic calculations, and visualizing results in both imaginative and digital forms are explored (Hnіtetska, 2021). The research identifies the potential of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D concerning the current state of cadastre and land surveying in Ukraine. It also identifies the potential for developing the cadastre system into a 3D cadastre system popular in developed countries. This system would be most suitably introduced with point cloud data, which could provide the most informative and detailed representation of immovable objects on the earth’s surface (Hnіtetska, 2021). The significance of using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D for automating data processing processes and generating technical documentation in the fields of cadastre and land surveying is emphasized. The research results demonstrate that using this software contributes to increased productivity, reduced time costs, and enhanced work precision. Moreover, the potential of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D is analyzed in the context of data standardization, interaction with other geoinformation systems, and integration possibilities with other programs to further improve work processes with cadastral and land information (Mykhailenko, 2004). All of these aspects underscore the relevance of investigating the use of the AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software suites in modern technology development conditions, where improving methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing land data is crucial for optimizing land resource management and improving the quality of cadastral services (Bykov, 2020). However, the question of the profitability of using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D in Ukraine remains quite open, considering the economic situation and population’s solvency. The annual license cost for AutoCAD is 71532 hryvnias, while AutoCAD Civil 3D is 97380 hryvnias, which is relatively expensive. There is a need to determine the vector of development of the cadastre system in Ukraine and improve work in the field of land surveying. This will help decide whether it is expedient to introduce AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D for widespread use or whether it’s more viable to enhance domestic software products.
