Abstract: For the effective organization of credit activity, it is necessary to have a theoretical and methodological justification of the means of its organization and functioning, in particular, the use of modern economic and mathematical models for assessing credit risks and conducting research on improving credit processes, market analysis and the development of new credit products. The practical application of scientific developments in the field of credit relations allows banks to increase the efficiency of their activities. The bank’s development strategy should include: the use of fintech solutions to automate creditworthiness assessment processes and credit portfolio management; development of individual credit conditions for different categories of clients, taking into account their needs and risks; training of bank employees in the field of credit risk management and new approaches to lending. The relevance of the topic of the work is due to the fact that the correct organization of bank lending, an effective credit policy and a flexible risk management system are key factors in ensuring the financial stability and market stability of banks. Further development of scientific research in this area will contribute to increasing the efficiency of banks’ lending activities. Object of research: JSC "Oschadbank Subject of research: strategic management of the bank’s credit activity The purpose of the study: the study of strategic directions for improving the credit activity of JSC "Oschadbank". Research methods: horizontal method, vertical method, factor analysis, SWOT analysis and economic-mathematical modeling. As well as special and general scientific methods, namely the method of theoretical analysis of literature (studying and processing of literary sources), the method of comparison; grouping; graphic research methods; methods of factor analysis and others. Information base: normative legal acts, scientific works of domestic and foreign authors on anti-crisis methods of financial management, financial reporting of the bank. The bank’s development strategy will take into account: exogenous and endogenous changes in the environment in which the bank operates; ? the degree of competition on the market in certain segments of banking business; ? position of the bank in the competitive market environment; - a system of various bank policies (credit, deposit, interest, marketing, innovation and others) that comprehensively implement its strategic management; - targets as target markers of the bank’s activity; - financial rationalization of the bank’s activities. Constant changes in the internal and external environment in which the bank operates, the construction and implementation of the concept of strategic management should be based on taking into account significant changes in the internal and external environment where the banking institution operates. These problematic issues need to be resolved given that the modern environment of banks’ activity is determined by unpredictability, risks and constant changes. The modern mechanism for the implementation of strategic management of the bank must necessarily take into account those new trends that were formed by significant changes in the banking sector and the financial system. It should be emphasized that, in our opinion, the most important directions for the implementation of the strategic management process are: - determination of key development priorities of the bank and prospective development and implementation of future development scenarios aimed at realizing the bank’s mission; - implementation of the management process itself as a means of ensuring compliance between goals (strategic, operational and tactical), existing resources and actions of the bank in conditions of constant changes in the financial market and in financial technologies both in Ukraine and in the world.
