Abstract: The object of the research is Lviv Polytechnic National University, located in the historic city of Lviv, Ukraine, is a renowned educational institution known for its rich history, academic excellence, and commitment to innovation. Founded in 1844, Lviv Polytechnic has evolved over the years to become one of Ukraine’s leading universities, attracting students and researchers from all over the world. In this document, we will delve into the characteristics that define Lviv Polytechnic National University and make it a unique and prestigious place of higher learning. Lviv Polytechnic National University’s characteristics, including its commitment to academic excellence, historical significance, and focus on innovation, make it a standout institution of higher learning. It has a rich legacy and continues to shape the future by producing graduates who are well-prepared to make significant contributions to their respective fields and society at large. Lviv Polytechnic’s enduring impact on education, culture, and technology is a testament to its significance on the global stage. University consists of 17 institutes, more than 100 departments; autonomous, additional and general subdivisions. One of the institutes where I had a practice workshop has the name of Institute of Economics and Management (IEM) of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. It has been training highly qualified economic personnel for over 70 years. The Institute is one of the leaders of economic and managerial business education not only in the western region, but also in the whole of Ukraine. In its structure, it unites eight departments: Business Economics and Investment; Accounting and Analysis; Finance; Management and international Business; Foreign Trade and Customs; Human Resource Management and Administration; Marketing and Logistics; Management of Organizations. The subject of the study was ways of forming cooperation of higher education institutions on the example of Lviv Polytechnic National University in the conditions of strengthening global competition. The tasks of the work are familiarization and study of the literature on the international cooperation between Ukraine and China organizations within the context of intensifying global competition. The study focuses on how universities adapt and innovate to remain competitive, the advantages and challenges of collaboration, and the role of diversity in fostering innovation and excellence. Ultimately, the research aims to provide insights into the strategies and practices that allow higher education institutions to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and competitive world. The important tasks of the master’s qualification work are the development of recommendations for achieving a strategic indicator through the search for ways of effective cooperation of higher education institutions on the example of Lviv Polytechnic National University in the conditions of strengthening global competition. Sources of educational and methodological, scientific literature, legislative and normative acts, statistical data, reports of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, reviews, analytical materials were the initial data for writing the work. In the process of writing the master’s thesis, the following research methods were used: comparison, systematization and generalization, statistical and comparative analysis, system approach and graphic method, statistical and economic-mathematical modeling methods. Problems of qualification work. The purpose of the master’s thesis is to develop proposals for deepening Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation of the Lviv Polytechnic and other universities, firms, scientific institutions of China. And it is also necessary to achieve a strategic indicator of development, which is the net income of the university. The strategic indicator of Lviv Polytechnic University is total income, which as a result of the implementation of management measures should increase by 0,49% compared to 2022 or by UAH 7600 thousand. Among the important directions of increasing the total income of Lviv Polytechnic University by deepening cooperation between Ukrainian and Chinese higher educational institutions are: ? Expanding revenue streams through the provision of educational services to Chinese students has proven to be a significant contributor. The rising number of Chinese students enrolling in the university signifies a steady source of income, resulting in financial stability. ? Diversifying the income sources by providing professional consulting and scientific services to companies from China has played a pivotal role in enhancing the university’s financial position. These services have not only generated additional revenue but have also strengthened the institution’s global reputation and partnerships. ? Engaging in joint educational and scientific grants or projects has further augmented the university’s income. Collaborative efforts with international partners, particularly from China, have opened new avenues for funding and resource sharing, fostering financial growth. China is one of the promising directions of the Lviv Polytechnic for the construction of innovative and technological cooperation, as well as the construction of innovative ecosystems. Development of cooperation between Ukraine and China through the signing of an agreement between Lviv Polytechnic University and Universities from China, will allow expanding cooperation between universities in the field of providing educational services (increasing the mobility of teachers and students), deepening scientific cooperation (increasing the number of scientific and educational grants won) will increase the strategic indicator of Lviv Polytechnic University - total income by 0,49% compared to 2022 or by UAH 7600 thousand.
