Abstract: In the first section of the work, the Inmarsat satellite system, description of technical characteristics and principle of operation, application in the aviation industry, as well as its advantages and disadvantages are considered. In the second chapter, the GPS system, an overview of this system, development from early versions to modern ones and applications in aviation. The third chapter deals with the Galileo satellite system, which describes the system, compares it with other satellite systems, and affects aircraft navigation. In the fourth chapter, the study of the BeiDou global navigation satellite system, its development from the beginning to the present, application in the aviation field, comparison with other satellite systems. In the fifth chapter, a comparison of all global navigation satellite systems, a general overview and comparison, identification of advantages and disadvantages, as well as recommendations and use of these systems in specific conditions. The sixth chapter contains the recommendations of the economic part. In the course of the conducted research, promising methods of aircraft navigation were carefully analyzed, in particular navigation systems, including satellite systems Inmarsat, GPS, Galileo and BeiDou. The results of the analysis made it possible to determine their technical characteristics, advantages and limitations, as well as to determine their application in the aviation field.
