Abstract: The master’s thesis is devoted to the study of the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the quality of television services, taking into account modern television standards. The work describes the ways of television development, the use of artificial intelligence in modern television, as well as the analysis of the impact of AI on the speed and quality of television. AI has made significant progress in the field of television. From content recommendations to voice recognition, artificial intelligence is transforming the TV viewing experience[1]. Thanks to artificial intelligence, smart TVs also represent a mixture of different AI options, such as natural language processing, computer vision, intelligent digital assistant, etc.[1,2]. In the first chapter, the ways of development of television were considered. Analog broadcast, cable, and satellite television, digital television broadcasting standards, IPTV, Smart TV capabilities, their advantages and disadvantages, as well as the interaction of artificial intelligence and television are described. The second chapter examines the use of artificial intelligence in modern television. AI in television standards ATSC 3.0 and DVB-T2, Smart TV and the use of artificial intelligence in Smart TV, integration of AI in smart set-top boxes [1,3] are analyzed, and web resources with access to television such as Netflix, Amazon Prime are also described Video, Hulu. The interaction of artificial intelligence and IPTV technology is considered [3]. In the third chapter, the influence of AI on the speed and quality of television was investigated and analyzed, the ATSC 2.0 and ATSC 3.0 standards were compared with the possibility of using AI [4], the speed and quality indicators of the television signal were evaluated using the built-in TV program LG Video Test Bench and the Xiaomi Mi set-top box Box S using AI [2]. The obtained test results are presented, such as image quality assessment, demultiplexer bitrate and input stream.The fourth chapter is devoted to economic calculation. Study object – features of the use of artificial intelligence in the field of television. Subject of study – methods of using AI in television systems.. Scope of research – digital television systems using smart technologies and AI.
