Abstract: Adaptation is a process in which an employee gets acquainted with new working conditions in the organization and gradually acquires the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform his duties. Employees of personnel services help new employees to familiarize themselves with only the formal aspects of work: rules, duties, rights, motivation, safety techniques. Psychological aspects of adaptation, such as emotional state, self-esteem, relationships with colleagues and the manager, are considered personal problems of the employee. Therefore, it is important to investigate the peculiarities of social and psychological adaptation of employees. Object of research: the process of adaptation of employees in the organization. The subject of the study: a set of socio-psychological aspects of professional adaptation of institutions of the social sphere. The purpose of the research of the master’s thesis is to evaluate the socio-psychological aspects of the professional adaptation of the employees of the Lviv branch of the Lviv regional employment center, to determine the factors affecting the effectiveness of this process and to provide practical recommendations for its improvement, based on the analysis of scientific works and the author’s research. In the first chapter of the study, attention is focused on basic knowledge regarding the theoretical study of the issue of professional adaptation as an object of research. The second chapter of the master’s study was devoted to the factors that influence adaptation, the role of the manager in the adaptation of new employees, the role of interpersonal relationships in professional adaptation in social institutions. The final section of the master’s thesis is devoted to the author’s empirical research on the adaptation of employees of the Lviv branch of the Lviv regional employment center in the context of organizational and socio-psychological factors of professional adaptation of employees, analysis of the personal characteristics of the manager, and the structure of motivation among branch employees. As a result of the research conducted on the topic "Social and psychological aspects of the professional adaptation of an employee of the institution on the example of the Lviv branch of the Lviv Regional Employment Center", we focused our attention on studying this topic from the standpoint of theoretical aspects of the problem of employee adaptation, applied aspects of studying factors that affect the adaptation of employees in social institutions, and also carried out an empirical analysis, which consisted in studying the characteristics and adaptation of employees on the example of the Lviv branch of the Lviv Regional Employment Center. To improve the system of socio-psychological professional adaptation of employees of the Lviv branch of the Lviv regional employment center, the following recommendations were proposed: – to develop a system for assessing the effectiveness of the adaptation system; - implement a system of electronic training of employees; - to develop a system of advisory support for employees undergoing adaptation.
