Abstract: This work on forming the electronic catalog of publications of the Shevchenko Scientific Society highlights the key aspects of this process in the context of modern digital preservation and accessibility of information. This work is of great importance in preserving the Ukrainian scientific and cultural heritage, especially considering the importance of efficient electronic catalogs for broad access to scientific and cultural resources (Junli Diao (2018)). In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the development of an electronic catalog becomes especially relevant, contributing to the preservation of important historical resources, enhancing opportunities for scientific research, educational activities, as well as the development of cultural archiving and library affairs (Jeffrey A. Rydberg-Cox (2006)). The goal of the study is to develop a conceptual project for creating a digital catalog, which includes a comprehensive analysis of technical solutions, requirements, and approaches to ensure effective access to scientific and cultural heritage (Dimas Sasongko, Ridi Ferdiana & Rudy Hartanto (2016)). This includes studying modern approaches to creating digital catalogs, developing a database, user interfaces, metadata standards, and considering options for digital archiving and data security, especially in wartime conditions (Steven Jack Miller (2011)). The object of the study includes the process of creating and managing a digital catalog, and the subject is the methods and technologies used to create, manage, and optimize digital catalogs of scientific and cultural publications. In this work, a comprehensive analytical review of sources has been carried out, covering the history, structure, and key directions of the activities of the Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSH). Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the state of the subject area, which includes the study of existing digital and paper publications, analysis of user needs, and evaluation of modern information systems. The documentation and information solution of the task includes the development of a formal task model, which details the information and functional models of the catalog, selection and justification of technological solutions for the practical implementation of the project. The practical implementation demonstrates the process of creating an electronic catalog, including detailing the development of the user interface, data architecture, authorization systems, and access to publications. Various stages of project implementation are described, including testing and training of personnel, and potential risks and solutions are highlighted. Each section of the work reveals important aspects of creating a digital resource for the preservation and popularization of scientific heritage, and together they form a fundamental basis for the further development and improvement of NTSH’s information systems. The practical significance of the research includes a real basis for the development and implementation of a digital catalog at the Shevchenko Scientific Society, the integration of the latest digitization methods, automation of metadata processing, and optimization of the user interface (Marshall Breeding (2010)). The main sources of research cover a wide range of aspects related to informatization and digitalization (David Doermann, Karl Tombre (2014)), electronic catalogs, the importance of bibliographic resources in preserving cultural heritage (Krystyna K. Matusiak, Michelle & Renee Bedard Community Coll (2019)), and the relevance of open access policies (Christopher D. Manning, Prabhakar Raghavan & Hinrich Schutze (2008)).
