Abstract: Recommendation system are programs or algorithms that use various data sch as past purchases, search history, and demographic information to help predict and find what people are looking for and what might potentially interest them, among an exponentially growing number of options [1]. The main task of this type of system is to inform the user about the product or content that should potentially interest them at this moment it time. The concept behind recommender systems is to find patterns of user behavior, or similarities in behavior regarding goods or services [2]. Educational content is a term used to describe content that teaches an audience by providing explanations of concepts or instructions for performing procedures and solving common problems. Educational content should solve problems or fill gaps in the reader’s knowledge. It is better if these are answers to frequently arising problems or questions. [3]. The modern world is characterized by the importance of technology in the field of learning and development. Programs like the developed system use interactivity and multimedia capabilities to engage children in learning. Involvement of parents in the development process is important because children are constantly surrounded by TV screens, phones, and computers, and together with their parents, they can use the opportunities provided by modern technologies, using them more effectively to learn new things and develop. Like reading books together, discussing what’s going on helps deepen understanding of the material. The desire of parents and specialists to ensure the full development of children is growing. The developed system fully meets this interest, providing parents and educators with tools for active participation in the development process. The recommendation system allows parents to create individual plans, considering age, available skills and the type of activities that are most effective for a particular child. First of all, the development of the system is aimed at providing support to parents, especially those who are faced with raising a child for the first time and have limited information about their development. The purpose of the developed system is to help parents structure information and find activities that will be the best for their child and help him in new stages of development. However, the system can be useful not only at home, but also in educational institutions for teaching staff, where the opportunity implementation of varied and interactive learning is essential. In addition, the system can serve as an indispensable assistant for doctors in the field of pediatrics, providing them with the means to provide quick and individualized recommendations on the development of children. The proposed system is specialized in content selection, so a content-based filtering method is used to provide recommendations, which will generate suggestions by extracting information about the content of activities and children’s profiles created by parents, and is focused on user preferences for product attributes obtained from activity profiles. The system was developed using ASP.NET and Visal Studio, the database is managed using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Study object is the process of analysis and selection of educational and developmental content that will meet the specifics of the child’s development and satisfy the requests of parents. Scope of research is child development and content that helps in its improvement, its types and appropriateness of use for different children. Goal of research is to create a recommendation system for selecting educational and developmental content in accordance with the individual characteristics of the child. As a result of the work, a recommendation system for selecting educational and developmental content according to the individual characteristics of the child was developed and implemented. The current state of the subject area is analyzed and described, the problems and shortcomings of analogues are identified, and the main options for improvement, the importance of understanding and supporting the child’s timely development. Diagrams are built showing its operation and interaction with the user. The economic part of the recommender system was considered, what the costs would be when creating the system and the profit expected from it, an assessment of the efficiency indicator of the system implementation was made, and based on this, a conclusion was made about how appropriate it is to implement this recommender system.
