Abstract: This master’s thesis develops a project of a section of manufacturing linalyl acetate with an annual productivity of 200 tonnes. Linalyl acetate is a flavouring agent that is commonly found in various essential oils, especially lavender and bergamot oil. A study represents the synthesis of linalyl acetate by а reaction оf linalool with ethenone in the presence of zinc acetate. To perform this task, the production of periodic action with a continuous mode of operation is designed. The material and heat balances of the process, technological calculations of the main equipment were calculated; the basic technological scheme of the process is presented and described. The constructive calculation of the main apparatus of the process was performed. An economic calculation was carried out and labor protection measures of the designed production were considered.
