Abstract: The thesis consists of the following components: introduction, six chapters, conclusions, and a list of 34 references. The total volume of the work is 86 pages, which includes 12 tables and 12 figures. The purpose of this work is to design an atmospheric oil distillation line. The main objective is to calculate the main and auxiliary equipment for the process. The first chapter of the master’s thesis describes the basic laws of the distillation process, the main components of distillation columns, and the principle of their operation. The second chapter contains general information about oil, its properties and classification. The third section describes the peculiarities of the oil distillation process and the technological scheme. The fourth section includes the calculation of the distillation column: material balance, selection of the column and plates, and design calculation. The fifth section is devoted to the selection of auxiliary equipment, namely furnace, tank and heat exchangers (for heating and condensation). The sixth section provides economic calculations of the costs of research, laboratory space rental, electricity costs, and the manager’s salary. The following sections show the conclusions to each stage of the qualification work.
