Abstract: The development of the packaging industry is being characterized by high dynamism and competitiveness. In recent decades, there have been significant changes in the ratio of materials applied for packaging: glass, paper, plastics, etc. Polymer materials are the most demanded in production of packaging materials (bottles, vials, canisters, containers) and other consumer goods. A plastic bottle, used for a variety of beverages, is the most common type of container. This is confirmed by marketing research. Polyethylene terephthalate is the most widely used material for making bottles. It is strong enough under the loads and can withstand the pressure of carbonated drinks, hereby it has minimal weight and has an affordable cost. The production of the product by blowing of a molded PET mold blank promotes the expansion of the range of products of this type and allows the production of containers of any volume, shape and design, which is currently relevant. The object of research: the technology of blow molding of hollow products made of polyethylene terephthalate. The subject of the study: peculiarities of obtaining hollow products, technological regularities of the process of casting blow molding of the preform with the production of the "Bottle" product. The purpose of the research: to research the process of manufacturing hollow products based on polyethylene terephthalate, namely the typical "Bottle" product, to calculate the technological parameters of the process and to determine the influence of technological parameters on the quality of the product also to choose the main and auxiliary equipment. In the master’s qualification work, an overview of the world market for the use of polyethylene terephthalate, the creation of new - modified compositions based on it, methods of its secondary processing and related environmental problems is made. In the technological part, taking into account the operating conditions of the "Bottle" product, the requirements are set and the material is selected. Material calculations for the production of the "Bottle" product made of polyethylene terephthalate with a productivity of 1409 t/year (39144000 pcs.) were carried out. It was determined that 1425.742 t/year of polyethylene terephthalate is required to ensure the annual productivity of production. The technological scheme for the production of the "Bottle" product and the technological parameters of the blowing process is proposed. A technological map of the process was drawn up. According to the technological scheme of the production, the main equipment -blowing machine brand SB8000 and auxiliary equipment - for waste processing, namely: CRT-05 cooling temperature controller and PET bottle crusher RASPTOR-300PET were selected. By the economic calculations it was determined that the cost price of the "Bottles" product makes UAH 1.48. It is shown that to sell the product at a price of UAH 1.94. the profitability of production will be more than 30%. The work consists of an introduction, 6 chapters, conclusions, a list of used literature and appendices as well. The main content is laid out on 54 pages of printed text containing 16 figures and 16 tables.
