Abstract: Hrybyi A.V. Modeling of facial recognition processes based on information technologies. Master’s degree thesis. – Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv, 2024. Abstract In the modern world, facial recognition systems are increasingly used. They are used on surveillance cameras to recognize criminals, in identity verification systems, at airports it is used on international flights, Apple uses Face ID technology to pay for purchases and unlock smartphones, the largest banks support payments with Face ID. In the process of completing my master’s degree thesis, I studied most of the modern algorithms used in facial recognition processes and tested their performance on various data sets. These are algorithms for face detection, feature search, and a neural network for face classification. I also modeled an optimized facial recognition algorithm that has greater efficiency and less memory consumption. References Szeliski, Richard. Computer Vision: Algorithms and Applications.
