Abstract: The master’s thesis is devoted to a comprehensive theoretical and empirical analysis of the psychological features of coping strategies employed by military personnel in wartime conditions. Military coping strategies assist in adapting to combat stress, with problem-focused methods proving the most effective. Personal traits such as resilience and emotional regulation significantly influence the choice of strategies. Military culture fosters endurance but may lead to long-term psychological challenges. The unique conditions of war shape dynamic coping methods, while moral injury highlights the need for psychological support. An empirical study was designed and conducted to examine the psychological characteristics of military personnel and their coping strategies in wartime. The focus was on the relationship between personal traits, self-efficacy, attitudes toward death, and the choice of coping strategies. The analysis was based on a sample of 72 participants using several psychological questionnaires, allowing for the identification of factors influencing stress adaptation effectiveness. The effectiveness of various coping strategies in reducing stress and enhancing psychological resilience among military personnel in combat situations was also assessed. The thesis consists of 117 pages and includes 16 figures. A total of 65 literary sources were analyzed in its preparation. Keywords: military psychology, coping strategies, stress resilience study, confrontational coping, distancing, PTSD.
