Abstract: This master’s qualification work has studied the specifics of the working conditions of an electrician servicing electrical substations. The work focuses on the dangers associated with being on the territory of a substation during the operation and repair of electrical equipment. Potentially dangerous elements of a substation include the power transformer housing, frames and drives of switching devices, relay protection cabinets, control switchboards, and others. During the operation, repair, or maintenance of equipment, various factors can affect human safety and health, including: increased noise or vibration levels; high levels of electromagnetic radiation; high levels of static electricity; dangerous levels of electric field strength; increased humidity and temperature at the workplace; insufficient natural or artificial lighting; human factor. The impact of working conditions on a person under certain circumstances can lead to a deterioration in well-being and a decrease in working capacity, which can cause an accident. The work studies theoretical and practical issues in the field of workplace certification, identifies production factors with subsequent analysis of their impact on the employee, identifies the main risks and proposes measures to improve working conditions, calculates the cost estimate and economic efficiency of the proposed measures. Keywords: research, labor protection, workplace certification, identification, substation maintenance electrician. The master’s thesis is completed on 93 pages, consists of 5 sections and a list of used literary sources.
