Abstract: The Master’s Thesis explores the peculiarities of the architecture of exhibition and entertainment facilities aimed at popularizing theater art. The main focus is on the analysis of current trends in the architectural design of theaters, exhibition spaces, and multifunctional cultural centers. A significant part of the work is devoted to the consideration of modular stages as an innovative tool that can adapt the space for various artistic needs, expanding the possibilities of interaction between the artist and the audience. The study reveals the historical development of theater architecture, in particular its impact on the audience’s perception of theater art. Examples of prominent world and Ukrainian events such as the Prague Quadrennial of Scenography and Theater Architecture, GogolFest, and Lviv cultural initiatives that serve as platforms for experiments in the field of theater design are considered. Particular attention is paid to the adaptability of architectural solutions that ensure the functionality of exhibition and entertainment facilities in the context of the changing needs of the theater scene. The result of the work was the development of a project for spaces for the Lviv Triennial that combine exhibition, theater, and public functions. The main concept is the integration of modular stages that allow transforming the space for different event formats - from chamber performances to large-scale performances. The thesis argues that the use of such stages not only increases the flexibility and efficiency of architecture, but also has a positive impact on audience engagement, contributing to a more emotional and interactive experience. The proposed solutions demonstrate the potential of an innovative approach to the architecture of exhibition and entertainment facilities in the context of popularizing theater art, creating new cultural landscapes, and developing urban space.
