Abstract: The work is dedicated to studying the design features of limited-edition covers for classic literature. Historical and modern trends in book cover design are examined in the context of their commercial and aesthetic appeal. The role of visual elements in conveying literary content and shaping the cultural value of publications is analysed. The influence of typography, colour, and composition on the perception of series continuity is identified. The purpose of the work is to identify the characteristic features and principles of the design of covers of limited edition series of classical literature. The object of the work is the design of covers of limited edition series of classical literature. The subject of the work is the artistic and compositional features of the covers of limited edition series of classical literature, as well as the stylistic and technical tools used to enhance the aesthetic expressiveness, individuality, and value of the limited editions. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time, the specific artistic and compositional features of the covers of limited edition series of classical literature are comprehensively studied. The work systematizes and analyses the stylistic, technical, and material means that form the value and symbolic components of the cover design, contributing to the revival of interest in classical literature through emotional-aesthetic perception. The first chapter presents a historical and cultural analysis of the development of book covers, covering key stages in their evolution from their initial purpose as protective elements to their contemporary perception as independent objects of graphic art. The transition from simple, utilitarian covers to complex artistic compositions using fonts, illustrations, and colours to convey the content and mood of the work, are discussed in detail. The analysis covers the influence of cultural and social changes on the formation of stylistic decisions in design, including how historical events, social trends, and technological innovations contributed to changes in book cover design. Special attention is paid to the influence of artistic movements such as Modernism, Art Deco, and Postmodernism on the formation of contemporary cover styles. The integration of traditional motifs with new graphic techniques, as well as the adaptation of European and Ukrainian cultural features in book design, is examined. The typical stylistic changes in different historical periods and their impact on the development of covers for classical editions are analysed, allowing a trace of how the visual aesthetics of books evolved in response to the demands of the era. The second chapter is dedicated to the analysis of scientific concepts in the field of book cover design in the context of modern graphic design. The classification of covers based on different criteria—style, genre, materials, and purpose—is considered. A detailed analysis of how stylistic decisions influence the perception of covers in various genres, from classical literature to contemporary fiction, scientific publications, and gift collections, is presented.?? Particular attention is given to the interaction between text and graphic imagery as key elements of visual communication. The study explores how typography, fonts, text size, and placement affect the overall aesthetic perception of a cover and create a visual hierarchy. The role of graphic elements, such as illustrations, ornaments, and colour accents, in creating an emotional connection between the book and potential readers is analysed. Examples of harmonious combinations of text and images that enhance the visual message and support the overall style of the publication series are examined. The third chapter investigates the specifics of cover design for limited edition series of classical literature. The main trends in the design of such editions are analysed, particularly the use of typography, colour, and composition to create a unique visual style for the series. The study considers how typographic elements—font choice, sizes, styles, and placement—can emphasize the aesthetics of classical works while giving the edition a contemporary look. The role of colour as a key component in shaping the mood and enhancing the emotional perception of the cover is examined. The importance of harmonious colour accents within the series to ensure the integrity of its visual identity is emphasized. Composition is separately studied as a means of organizing graphic and text elements, which contributes to identifying the series and enhancing its recognizability. Special attention is paid to the impact of these elements on the perception of the series of editions, creating an impression of exclusivity and increasing appeal to the target audience. The fourth chapter is devoted to the creation of an author’s design concept for a limited edition series of covers for the “Estet” publishing house. The chapter thoroughly analyses the process of identifying the target audience, considering its age, social, and aesthetic preferences. This approach helps better understand which visual elements will have the greatest impact on the potential reader and increases the effectiveness of the cover design. Conceptual decisions regarding the use of colour, typography, and composition to create a unique visual identity for the series are considered. The choice of colour palettes, their correspondence to the literary genre and emotional mood of the work, is analysed in detail. The work notes how typographic elements—fonts, styles, and placement—highlight the aesthetic value of classical editions and contribute to maintaining a balance between tradition and modernity. The fifth chapter presents the economic justification of the project, including an analysis of the costs of producing a limited edition series and projected commercial benefits from implementing the project. The conclusions present the main results of the work. The work contributes to the development of contemporary book design, demonstrating the importance of aesthetic decisions in popularizing classical literature.
