Developing the technological process for obtaining polyamide constructive purpose products by injection molding at SE "Polymer-Electron" Plant

Abstract: Nowadays, the production of plastics and their use in all sectors of the economy is growing. Injection molding is one of the most common methods of polymer processing, which allows the manufacture of products of varying complexity, with high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface quality. Object of research: technological process of manufacturing structural products from polyamide by injection molding. Subject of research: technological aspects and regularities of the process of manufacturing structural products from polyamide by injection molding, features of designing technological equipment, equipment selection and calculation of technical and economic indicators. Objective of the study: to develop and establish the regularities of the process of manufacturing a structural polyamide gearbox housing at the enterprise SE Polymer -Electron Plant. The product used for the design is a gearbox housing. According to the operating conditions, the material chosen for its manufacture is polyamide of the PA-6-210/310 grade according to OST 6-06-S9-93. The choice of the method of manufacturing the product - injection molding in a cold mold - is substantiated. A detailed technological scheme for manufacturing the product «gearbox housing» has been developed and the technological parameters of the process have been calculated: Tp = 260 °C, Tf = 70 °C, ?c = 20 s, ?hol = 12 s, Pl = 90 MPa. A process flow chart was drawn up. Material calculations were made for the production of the product «gearbox housing» and the range of polyamide products (gear cover, gear wheel, small gear wheel) with a capacity of 70 tons per year. It is established that 77 tons of polyamide are required to ensure annual production capacity. The main technical characteristics of the injection molding machine were calculated and the SSB NS-300T injection molding machine was selected. It is established that to fulfill the annual production program for the «gear housing» product, 1 SSB NS-300T injection molding machine is required; for the manufacture 9 of the «gear cover» and «gear wheel» - 1 SSB NS-200T injection molding machine, and 1 SSB NS-100T injection molding machine for the manufacture of a small gear wheel. Auxiliary equipment for the preparatory, final stages of production and waste processing was selected: dryer SVTSR-1.5, mixer SS-100, lathe SM-300E, shredder IPR-150M, granulator AGP-21. The areas of the production and auxiliary premises of the workshop were calculated and a workshop plan was developed for the production of a range of polyamide products to ensure the convenience of personnel and the smooth operation of the workshop. The design part analyzes the shape of the gearbox housing product with the development of individual elements. The gearbox housing has a developed shape and belongs to the third group of complexity. The accuracy of the product is in the range of 15-17 accuracy qualifications. The tooling for the manufacture of a typical gearbox housing product was designed - a stationary injection mold, single-slot, with mechanical ejection of products using ejectors, with a cold-channel casting system with one element - the central casting.
