Abstract: Master’s qualification work consists of an introduction, five chapters, conclusions on the work, a list of used literature and appendices. The first section of the work reviews the methods of obtaining hydrochloric acid. The second section considers the line for producing hydrochloric acid by a synthetic method. A description of the technological scheme is given. The third section presents the results of designing a line for producing hydrochloric acid by a synthetic method, calculates material and energy flows. The fourth section presents technological and design calculations of the main equipment: a furnace for burning chlorine and hydrogen gases, a refrigerator for cooling gaseous hydrogen chloride and an absorption column for obtaining hydrochloric acid. The fifth section develops the economic part, determines the cost of the research conducted. The work also includes drawings of an adsorption column, a pumping unit, a gas furnace, a shell-and-tube refrigerator, and a storage tank for hydrochloric acid.
