Abstract: The master’s thesis consists of an introduction, six chapters, conclusions, and a list of 13 references. The total length of the thesis is 88 pages. The first chapter reviews the classification of wastewater and methods for its treatment. The second chapter provides a characterization of the research object. The third chapter describes the process of chemical modification of clinoptilolite. The fourth chapter outlines the sorption process of heavy metal ions from solutions using modified sorbents. The fifth chapter is dedicated to the development of technological schemes. The sixth chapter presents economic calculations. The thesis investigates the feasibility of using clinoptilolite for the purification of wastewater from heavy metal cations. For this purpose, the processes of chemical and thermal modification of clinoptilolite were studied, as well as its application for the removal of heavy metal cations from water. A technological scheme for clinoptilolite modification and water purification using the resulting sorbent was developed.
