Characteristics of the educational program: The educational program is based on conventional scientific provisions and results of modern research in chemical technologies and engineering, allowing a further scientific and professional career. The educational program emphasizes competencies providing development and use of innovative technologies of organic substances compatible with understanding management aspects of modern chemical manufacturing, the scientific research methodology, and the solution of professional and civil safety at a chemical enterprise. The educational program also emphasizes knowledge of chemical technologies and engineering of organic substances and the ability to apply them in further professional and scientific activities. Specialists perform organizational, economic, managerial, research, commercial, and investment activities in the chemical and related industries. The educational program forms the student's competencies and skills in organic substance synthesis processes as an integral part of chemical technologies and engineering. There are two professional lines in total. Line 1. Organic substances chemical technologies. The program provides the study of organic substances technologies, technological process development, and organic synthesis substances application. Line 2. Petrochemical synthesis technologies. The program provides the study of industrial catalytic processes, petrochemical enterprises design, and technologies of dyes, surface-active substances, polymers, etc.
Програмні результати навчання: 1. Critically comprehend scientific concepts and modern theories in chemical processes and chemical engineering, applying them to scientific research and innovation. 2. To search for necessary information on chemical technology, processes, and equipment for manufacturing chemicals and materials based on them. To systematize, analyze, and evaluate relevant data. 3. To organize individual and collective work in industrial, design departments, and research laboratories. To define goals and effective ways to achieve them. To motivate and educate personnel. 4. To evaluate technical and economic characteristics of research, development, technology, and chemical equipment. 5. Communicate fluently, verbally, and in writing in the native and foreign languages to discuss and present professional activities, research, and project results. 6. To develop and implement chemical technology and interdisciplinary projects, considering social, economic, environmental, and legal aspects. 7. To search for necessary information on chemical technology, processes, and equipment for manufacturing chemicals and materials based on them in scientific and technical literature, patents, databases, and other sources. To systematize, analyze, and evaluate relevant date. 8. Critically comprehend aspects of organic substances manufacturing and application, and possess methods of technological process improvement. 9. To apply theoretical knowledge and practical approaches to managing organic synthesis processes. 10. To develop and modernize organic synthesis processes following innovative technologies. 11. The understandable and unambiguous communication of personal knowledge, conclusions, and arguments to specialists and non-specialists, particularly students. 12. The management of practice or learning processes that are complex, unpredictable, and require new strategic approaches. 13. The responsibility for contributing to professional knowledge and practice and/or the activity results evaluation of the teams and collectives. 14. The ability to continue studying with a high degree of autonomy.
