Transportation System Analysis

Major: Transport Technology (by type)
Code of subject: 8.275.00.O.003
Credits: 4.00
Department: Transport Technologies
Lecturer: Associate Professor Mykola Zhuk.
Semester: 1 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: 1. Develop measures to manage the reliability and efficiency of transport technologies by mode of transport. 2. Analyze and justify the feasibility of scientific recommendations and modern methods of traffic control. 3. Analyze and develop methods for studying transport processes. 4. Evaluate and forecast the parameters of material and human flows.
Required prior and related subjects: • Technological processes of transportation • Modeling of traffic flows; • Fundamentals of transport research and forecasting.
Summary of the subject: The concept of systems analysis. System analysis and operations research in solving poorly structured decision-making problems. System analysis of uncertainty conditions. Modeling and analysis of transport systems based on Petri nets. System analysis of urban transport system. Logistic models of travel planning in transport systems with transfers taking into account special requirements of passengers.
Assessment methods and criteria: • writing reports from practical work, oral examination (40%); • final control (55% control measure, exam); • oral form (5 %).
