Learning outcomes: Knowledge: 1. Acquiring of knowledge for the research and development of the complex of technical means of transport systems development, determination of regularities of their impact and the environment (KN2); 2. Understanding the instruments and strategies that have relation to the organization and technology of technical service, diagnosing and repair of vehicles, problems of traffic safety and regularities of the impact of human factor on transport processes (KN3); Skills: 1. Systematically comprehend and use creativity to form principally new ideas in the field of transport (SC3). Communication: 1. Ability to apply different methods, particularly current informational technologies, for effective communication on professional and social levels (COM2). Autonomy and responsibility: 1. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions (AaR1); 2. Ability to demonstrate understanding of the leading environmental principles, labor protection and life safety, and their application (AaR4)
Required prior and related subjects: Modeling in transport systems; Research seminar in the field of transport
Summary of the subject: 1. Ergonomics as a science of human activity in the system “human – technology – environment” 2. Tasks of ergonomics in road transport and directions of their development 3. Psychophysiological states of the driver and their classification 4. Functional state of the driver and its impact on traffic safety 5. Working conditions and environment as a factor influencing the functional state of the driver 6. Interrelation of the driver's condition and parameters of the technological process of transportation 7. Ergonomic support in the field of road traffic management
Assessment methods and criteria: Mid-term assessment: defense of a report on practical works. Final assessment: written (in the form of three-level tests) and oral components The maximum total number of points for the discipline is 100 points. The maximum possible amount of points for mid-term assessment is 40 points for the defense of reports on practical works. The maximum possible amount of points for the final assessment is 60 points, of which the written component is 50 points; the oral component is 10 points.
