Learning outcomes: The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes: • Ability to identify and characterize current trends in public sector reform; • Understand general new trends in the development of governance systems and select and assess specific changes in the political and administrative systems of some EU member states; • Compare and analyze the experience of using the political and administrative systems of EU member states; • It is reasonable to choose and apply effective mechanisms of administration and democratic governance in order to create conditions for socio-economic development; • Analyze the problems of modernization of public governance and develop proposals for their solution taking into account the concepts of New Public Management.

Summary of the subject: The purpose of the discipline is to acquire in-depth knowledge of ways to solve problems of public administration reform to implement presidential initiatives on constitutional changes in decentralization, implementation of reforms within the United Nations General Assembly of September 25, 2015 № 70/1 global goals of sustainable development by 2030 and the results of their adaptation taking into account the specifics of Ukraine's development, set out in the National Report "Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine", "The concept of reforming local self-government and territorial organization of power in Ukraine.
