Summary of the subject: History of Economics and Economic Thought is a normative discipline in the training of economists. Its main purpose is the formation of theoretical knowledge, skills and practical skills in the field of economics, determination of the sources of origin and development of modern economic theories, study of the essence of economic systems and patterns of their development, methods of analysis of political, legal, economic, socio-cultural environment and infrastructure of economic activity; formation of knowledge about the historical development of economies and economic thought of European civilization to understand the genesis and patterns of functioning of economic systems.
Опис: The introduction. The subject, the method and periodization of the course "The history of economics and economic thought". The economy of primary society and its evolution during the period of earliest civilizations. The features of economic development and economic thought in the period of formation of world civilizations (VIII c. BC - V c. AD). The economy and economic thought of European civilization society in the Middle Ages. The formation of the prerequisites of the market economy in the countries of European civilization (XVI - XVII c). The first economic schools. The market economy of the countries of European civilization (second half of XIX – beginning of XX c) and reflection of new phenomena in the economy by the neoclassical traditions. The features of the market economy development and the main directions of economic thought in Ukraine (second half of XIX – beginning of XX c). The economy and economic thought in the period of the state monopoly development of the society of European civilization (first half of XX c). The development of the national economies of the countries of European civilization in the system of world economy under the influence of scientific and technological revolution (the second half of the XX c). The world economy and the main directions of economic thought at the stage of information and technological revolution (the end of XX - the beginning of XXI c). The economic development of Ukraine in conditions of the Soviet economic system and its treatment in economic thought. The formation of market economy principles in Ukraine (the 90s of XX - XXI c).
Assessment methods and criteria: - testing of knowledge on the topics of the lecture course;
- oral questioning;
- presentations at practical classes (essays, reports, discussions);
- writing of current control works;
- performance of control work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: current control-40%, examination control - 60%.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the component's educational material contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of repeating the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00
