Summary of the subject: Design and construction materials: classification and requirements. Properties of materials for design. Natural materials and stone products. Materials and products made from wood. Ceramic materials and products. Materials and wares from mineral melts. Materials and products made of metals. Artificial materials and products based on mineral cohesive substances. Reinforced concrete structures and products. Materials and products based on polymers and other macromolecular organic substances. Materials for exterior finishing of buildings and structures. Materials and products for interior decoration of houses. Materials for the construction of false ceilings and floors.. Materials for landscape architecture. Building materials for the construction of roads, squares, intricate, perimeter fencing etc. The materials and technologies of decorative art. Devices and products for systems of water supply and sanitation. Materials and devices for heating and cooling of buildings. Devices and systems of artificial lighting. Automatic device control home security and fire alarm systems. The materials of the future and nanotechnology.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (laboratory work) – 40 points
Final control (examination) – 60 points.
Total – 100 points.

Learning outcomes: After studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
- analyze the project task and its design potential;
- be able to conduct pre-project research, study typologically similar samples and give them a professional assessment;
- have the skills of rational formation of three-dimensional space, give it artistic qualities consistent with the context;
- know the regulatory parameters of the arrangement of the space of a small restaurant;
- have experience in variable design, the ability to compare and select the best samples;
- perform a set of design materials, namely drawings and demonstration visualizations;
- have a professional conceptual and terminological apparatus and skills to explain the benefits of your project.
PRNV1.2. To be able to use normative and reference literature when designing a subject-spatial environment
PRNV1.3 Orient in a variety of modern software and hardware tools, use knowledge and skills of working with professional computer support.
PRNV1.4. Apply a complex artistic and design approach to create a holistic image of the subject-spatial environment.
PRNV1.5. Solve functional tasks taking into account the properties of materials and structural constructions, apply the latest technologies in the creation of a modern design product.
PRNV1.8. Apply the acquired knowledge and understanding of the subject field and the field of professional activity in practical situations during the execution of working drawings and accompanying technical documentation, as well as during the presentation of finished projects.

Materials science in interior design
Summary of the subject: The discipline "Materials Science in Interior Design (CP)" is a component of professional training of students majoring in Design (Environmental Design), which generally covers 90 hours, which also structurally provides independent work. The discipline is designed to improve practical skills in creating a subject-spatial environment, to provide experience in solving a small complex problem. An important part of the subject is the application of regulations and state standards, the application of knowledge of materials science and color. Flexible task frameworks provide the opportunity to use teamwork, experiments on self-sufficiency and social inclusion are supported.
Assessment methods and criteria: According to the peculiarities of his / her individuality, the student can independently choose the stages of the project implementation - starting with the idea of ??the name, image, function, etc. Therefore, the order of execution of current tasks is of a recommendatory nature, pursuing the main goal - the full implementation of the course project, which is estimated at 100 points. To be admitted to the course project, the student is not required to submit current assignments.
Each of the parts of the work is evaluated at 5, 10 and 15 points depending on the complexity. The course project is evaluated as the sum of the components of the project.
