CSP703. The ability to solve a wide range of problems and tasks related to heating and gas supply, ventilation and air conditioning (HGSVAC), energy resource conservation, accounting of energy carriers, etc., by understanding their fundamental foundations.
CSP704. The ability to implement alternative energy, use secondary energy resources for the innovative development of engineering systems of buildings and structures and provision of territories with the aim of saving fuel and energy resources and reducing the negative impact on the surrounding natural environment.
Learning outcomes: PR07. Use and develop technical documentation, including using modern information technologies.
PR16. To design technological processes of construction and equipment of buildings (structures) and installation of engineering systems and networks.
PRS704. Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the collection of raw data, design, construction and operation of engineering networks of settlements, systems of buildings and structures of various purposes in the part of HGSVAC, increasing their energy efficiency and reducing the negative impact on the environment; technically and economically determine the decisions made.

Summary of the subject: The basics of the theory and technique of air conditioning and cooling with the help of local autonomous air conditioners are described. Structural schemes and classification of air conditioning systems are highlighted. The properties of humid air, the processes of changing its state, I-d - diagram of humid air are given. Air treatment processes in local autonomous air conditioners are shown on the I-d diagram. The cooling supply systems of local autonomous air conditioners and the method of recalculating their cooling capacity are considered.

Опис: Requirements for ACS. The place and role of ACS in the general microclimate conditioning system. Structural diagram and classification of ACS. Characteristics and calculated parameters of the external climate for ACS. Factors that determine the microclimate (internal conditions) of air-conditioned rooms of various purposes. The main norms used to determine the calculated parameters of indoor air. Requirements for technological production processes. Properties of moist air. I-d-diagram of moist air. Construction on the I-d diagram of the processes of changing the state of moist air. Classification of cold sources for ACS. Natural sources of cold. Direct, indirect and combined air cooling. Cold water rivers and lakes. Artesian water. Ice. Artificial sources of cold. Steam compressor refrigerating machines (RM). Scheme and principle of operation. Refrigerants that are used in RM ACS. The scheme and principle of operation of the capillary tube and the thermoregulating valve of steam-compressor RM.
Structure of p-i-diagram for refrigerants (CA). The internal temperature regime of operation of the steam-compressor RM. Construction of the work process of RM on the p-i-diagram. Refrigerating capacity of steam-compressor RM. Recalculation of standard cooling capacity to working capacity. Fully aggregated local autonomous air conditioning units (UAC). Schematic diagram and operation of window UAC. Image of air processing processes on the I-d diagram in window UAC with full and partial recirculation and their calculation. Local autonomous UAC with a separate location of the evaporative-regulating and compressor-condensing units (blocks) of the "split" type. Image of air treatment processes on the I-d diagram.
Assessment methods and criteria: Cumulative point-rating system, which involves evaluating students for all types of classroom and extra-curricular educational and scientific activities, aimed at mastering the educational load of the educational and professional program: current control, laboratory reports, oral presentations, defense of course projects and graphic and calculation works, written and oral exams and assessments; practice on the subject of the magister's qualification work, defense of the bachelor's qualification work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (laboratory works - 20 points, oral examination - 20 points); final control (60 points, control measure, written and oral form, exam).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
