Learning outcomes: 1. ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of scientific and mathematical principles underlying the Earth sciences; 2. ability to demonstrate basic knowledge in Earth sciences in relevant specializations; 3. ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of design methodologies, relevant regulations, applicable standards and specifications; 4. ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of the current state of affairs and the latest technologies in the field of Earth sciences; 5. a systematic understanding of fundamental aspects and concepts of the speciality; 6. ability to use various methods, in particular, modern information technologies; 7. an understanding of the basics of labour protection and safety and their application; 8. ability to apply knowledge and understanding to solve qualitative and quantitative problems, evaluation, interpretation and synthesis of data information; 9. ability to be responsible in work performed and achieved the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; 10. apply knowledge and understanding to identify, formulate and solve technical problems of the speciality, to use known methods; 11. apply knowledge and understanding to solve synthesis and analysis problems in systems that are characteristic of the chosen specialization.

Summary of the subject: The discipline "Satellite Systems and Technologies" is based on methods of determining the fundamental parameters of the Earth using modern satellite systems, as well as the use of observations from a network of active reference GNSS stations for monitoring Earth parameters and creating a terrestrial reference frame.
