Learning outcomes: 1. Basic knowledge of geophysics, satellite geodesy, cartography, meteorology and geodynamics what are necessary to develop professionally oriented disciplines. 2. Skill to identify, classify and describe the work related to geophysical, geodetic, cartographic and meteorological activities through the use of analytical methods and modeling techniques. 3. Skill to perform analysis and forecasting of studied phenomena and processes. 4. Skill to create digital geospatial models using modern computer technologies. 5. Ability to conduct space monitoring of specific objects using the database of active permanent observation stations. 6. Ability to use professionally profiled knowledge and practical skills for solving of tasks specialty.

Summary of the subject: Subject of GNSS meteorology. General informations about the Earth's atmosphere. Atmospheric pressure, air temperature, humidity and density of air. Equation of gases state. Vertical structure of atmosphere in accordance with thermal stratification. Basic equation of statics of atmosphere; atmospheric models. Neutral atmosphere and its effect on the propagation of GNSS signals. Refractive index of air. Modeling of zenith tropospheric delay and its components. Measurement methods of meteorological parameters. Main informations from physics of GNSS meteorology. Basic equation of GNSS observations. Wet component of zenith tropospheric delay and integrated water vapor derived from GNSS observations.
Assessment methods and criteria: practical task report, testing, test work (30%); • final test (70 %).
