Мета вивчення дисципліни: Students' assimilation of the most significant ideas and theories of world and domestic sociological thought, the formation of a scientific, humanistic worldview, universal human values and national consciousness in them.
Завдання: The ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on understanding the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, technology and technologies, to use various types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. Ability to apply and integrate knowledge and understanding of disciplines of other related fields. Ability to system thinking, criticism and self-criticism. The ability to analyze social processes is related to the social development of the state Ability to cooperate in an international environment and recognize intercultural problems in professional practice.
Learning outcomes: Analyze and synthesize in formation from various source stosolve professional and establish cause links between social event sand phenomena. - Identify the cause links between the development of society and the manifestations of socio-economic problems in different categories of the population.

Summary of the subject: The discipline involves students mastering the basics of sociological knowledge and their application to the analysis of the phenomena of modern society, social problems and possible ways to solve them. The material is structured in such a way as to acquaint students with various social phenomena and processes, the theoretical basis for their understanding with access to real situations of social life. Practical classes are largely structured in such a way that students independently or in groups search for cases that confirm the theoretical materials discussed in the lectures, present the results and argue the decisions made. The course includes an individual test, which aims to acquaint students with the importance of reinforcing theoretical knowledge with empirical data. In this way, the course has a daily connection with other disciplines provided by the educational program.
Опис: The subject of sociology. Methodology and methods of sociological research. The main stages of development of sociological thought. Formation and development of sociology in Ukraine. Society as a system. Social change and development of society. Personality in the system of socialties. Social structure of society. Social stratification. Ethnonational structure of society. The process and types of social interaction. Social control and deviant behavior. Social in stitutions. Social organizations. Culture and society.
Assessment methods and criteria: •work in practical classes (selective oral survey, reports, presentations), presentation of the study project (40%) •final control test, written form (60%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: report (quality of knowledge – its completeness, depth, flexibility, systematicity, strength; correct use of conceptual and terminological apparatus; speech culture (literacy, logic and sequence of presentation); level of meaningfulness of knowledge – the ability to formulate independent evaluative judgments and theoretical conclusions) - 3 points ; presentation (correspondence to the topic of the practical session; aesthetic design of the presentation; clear, concise report; ability to answer clarifying questions; references to sources) - 5 points. individual control task (structure; quality of information sources and their correspondence to the content of the work; level of independence and depth of meaningfulness; level of familiarity with theoretical material, terminology and concepts; ability to analyze, compare, classify and summarize material; aesthetic design of the presentation; clear, concise report; ability to answer clarifying questions) 10 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
