Завдання: FK4. The ability to analyze socio-psychological phenomena, processes of formation, development and socialization of an individual, development of a social group and community.

Learning outcomes: 10. Analyze social and psychological processes in small and large groups.
18. Establish cooperation with representatives of various professional groups and communities; use strategies of individual and collective representation of clients' interests.
19. To reveal strengths and involve personal resources of clients, resources of social groups and communities to solve their problems and get out of difficult life circumstances.
21. Demonstrate tolerant behavior, show respect for cultural, religious, ethnic differences, distinguish the influence of stereotypes and prejudices.

Summary of the subject: The Social Work with Groups course will be delivered using a variety of methods, including lectures and discussions. Since students will need to develop the basics of group dynamics, much of this course will be done in the form of group classroom work. The teacher will provide students with individual consultations. Basic elements of practical work with groups will also be considered, students will be involved in the development of the training program and its implementation, which will provide an opportunity to analyze group dynamics in practice.
Опис: Topic 1. Basic concepts of group social work. Concept of social activity and social work as its type. Methods, levels and technologies of social work. Group work: a historical review. Definition of group work.
Topic 2. Concepts and types of small groups. Appointment of groups in society and in the organization of social life. Small and large groups: common and different. Classification of small groups. Advantages and limitations of inclusion of an individual in a group.
Topic 3. Formation and development of a small group Theories of the emergence of a small group. Models of small group development: one-dimensional, two-dimensional models and models of collective formation. Dynamic processes in a small group. Mechanisms of formation of small groups (mechanisms of group dynamics). Normative influence in the group
Topic 4. The process of functioning of a small group Small group structure. Leadership and management in a small group
Topic 5. Cohesion of a small group Definition, main approaches to the study of cohesion. Cohesion factors. Psychological consequences of cohesion. Socialization of the individual through the group
Topic 6. Psychodynamics of the group. Small group as a socio-psychological phenomenon. Phenomena of interpersonal interactions in a small group. Group effects.
Topic 7. The role of the leader in the group process. Leadership in small groups. Leadership theories: trait theory, behavioral and situational theories of leadership. Leadership style. Assessment of leadership style in the group.
Topic 8. Group management techniques. Microskills of a group leader. Communication skills. Theory of communication. Incoming behavioral patterns and their main consequences. Skills of a consultant and advisor. Activities of a counselor/therapist. The activity is expressive and supportive. Related activity. Persuasive skills. Conflict management vs confrontation.
Topic 9. Ethical problems of group counseling. Ethical problems of group membership. Privacy. Successful and unsuccessful use of group techniques. Ethical principles for group leaders.
Topic 10. Training technology Peculiarities of group trainings and their classification. Development of trainings and their implementation. Overview of interactive learning methods.
Assessment methods and criteria: • work in practical classes (selective oral survey, reports, presentations), presentation of the study project (40%)
• final control test, written form (60%)
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Attestation of students of education in the discipline is carried out with the help of means of objective control of the degree of achievement of the final goals.
1. Attestation is carried out on the basis of an assessment of the level of competences achieved and the results of a bachelor’s study in the specialty "Social Work", using the methods of complex diagnostics: semester assessment (SO) of students’ knowledge is carried out based on the total number of points obtained according to the results of current control (PC), and implementation control measure (KZ).
2. 2. The information base, on the basis of which the means of objective control of the degree of achievement of the final goals of mastering the discipline are formed, are its subject matter, tasks for practical and independent works, a list of literature and methodical recommendations.
3. 3. Attestation of the quality of mastering the discipline is carried out after the students complete the work program in its entirety.
• Current control (PC) - 40 points:
PrZ – evaluations of speeches and answers at seminar classes - 10 points;
PDZ - evaluation for the completion of mandatory current homework - 10 points;
INDZ - evaluation for the performance of an individual research task - 20 points.
• Examination control (EC) – 60 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
