Department: Organic Chemistry
Lecturer: professor Volodymyr Donchak
Semester: 3 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Завдання: As a result of the study of the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems of chemical technologies and engineering during professional activity or training, which involves the application of theories and methods of chemical technologies and engineering and are characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions;
the specialist should know:
1. Basic principles of modern classification and nomenclature of organic compounds.
2. Basics of theories of chemical structure, reactivity and course of chemical reactions of organic compounds
3. The main classes of organic synthetic and natural compounds, features of their chemical structure and its influence on chemical properties.
4. Basic methods of obtaining organic compounds, in particular those used in the chemical industry.
5. Basic methods of isolation, purification and identification of organic compounds.
6. The structure and chemical properties of those classes of organic compounds Chemistry of high molecular compounds, which are studied in further special courses: Chemistry and technology of organic substances, Chemistry of oil and gas, Chemistry of organic natural compounds, etc.
Learning outcomes: -To own strong knowledges on such fundamental questions, as a modern theory of chemical structure and reactivity of organic compounds, intermediates and reagents.
- to Know dependences of chemical and physical properties of organic compounds on their steric structures.
- to Know a capacity for the interconversions of different functional groups.
- Knowledge of general industrial methods of synthesis, properties and application of representatives of basic classes of compounds, in chemical industry of organic synthesis and in other areas of science and technology.
- to Іndependently conduct to experimental works on a synthesis, analysis and research of basic properties of organic compounds of different classes.
- to Be acquainted with the modern methods of analysis of organic compounds: IR, UV, NMR spectroscopy, by a gas and liquid chromatography etc.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous educational disciplines:
